Protopolis

A city built in and around a graveyard. This was the first ‘town’ in the early days when there was less people falling into the void than dying there. Eventually the population of dead started to outnumber those that were alive. Kids play among the gravestones and houses are sometimes built on top of plots with only the stones visible in between. Even with the new influx of people the dead are still the primary residents.
